It’s always flattering when I’m hired to photograph a wedding, but it’s particularly flattering when the bride or groom knows their way around a camera. Steve works at Creve Coeur Camera and I think we spent more time “talking shop” at their consultation than we did about the wedding.

Veronica + Dave { St. Louis Engagement Photography }

Veronica and Dave live outside Kansas City but will be getting married in St. Louis next year. Boy did we get lucky on weather for their engagement session! Veronica loves art so we started out at the Contemporary Art Museum (the building is art in itself if you ask me) and finished up at the City Garden. I did a little more creative processing that unusual but I think it works for them.

Wow. Farrah and John’s engagement session was fun. We met at the Botanical Garden on beautiful Friday afternoon. We had planned to be finished when the Garden closed at 5:00 PM but we were all having such a good time… when we realized nobody was asking us to leave (and we could all think of worse places to get locked in at) we kept shooting for another hour.

And their wedding is coming up fast! I’m really looking forward to it!

While discussing their engagement session Celia and Lindsay suggested I look into a blog called A Bicycle Built For Two.

A Bicycle Built For Two is a blog written by couple who were having a difficult time finding photographs that really inspired them while planning their wedding (which is this weekend!).

So they did something about it. They started A Bicycle Built For Two.

Tracey and Angela have created a wonderful and diverse collection of photographs from many weddings all over the world that can be inspiration for any celebration.

Tracey and Angela posted some of my work from Tonya and Gina’s wedding. They called the post, Happy Camper! I’m excited to be apart of this talented group of people.

Weekend Sneak Peek { St. Louis Photography }

I had three wonderful photo shoots this past weekend. There will more more posts to come for each shoot but it’ll have to wait until next week. Between taxes and heading to Louisiana for a wedding this Saturday, I wasn’t able get everything ready.

The first was Farrah and John’s engagement session. I typically don’t use many photos from the first 5 minutes of a session (everybody is still getting warmed up) but this one (I think it was the third click of the shutter) turned out really well. The rest of the session was awesome too, but I thought I’d “sneak peek” this one.

The second session was little Jack. I’ll write more about Jack later but I will say this, after I took the first picture of him he immediately sat down my lap to see the back of the camera.

Finally, I met up with Erin and Brandon to photography Ellie. I will admit, I was nervous. This was my first newborn session but Erin, Brandon, and Ellie were very patient with me as I “Forest Gumped” my way through it. This is one of my favorites because she actually smiled a little for about two seconds.

lindsay + carter { st. louis wedding photography }

Lindsay attended the St. Louis Bride Wedding Connection at he Chase Park Plaza and won my Free Engagement Session door prize. We were finally able to get together a few weeks ago. Unfortunately we had some nasty weather that day so we stuck to the studio.

This is Lulu and she is very cute. I think Lulu should be the ring bearer at the wedding.

Congratulations to Lindsay and Carter (and Lulu)!
