I’m going to show a little restraint here… which is very difficult. Instead of the usual sneak peek, I’m going to give you a Sneak Tease. You’ll get a nice little hint of what a beautiful bride Debbie was… but you’ll have to wait a little longer to see the full picture.

In another day or two you can see what Brian did when he turned around…

I promise, it’s worth the wait.

I just got home from Debbie and Brian’s rehearsal dinner at Maggiano’s. Oh man, I can’t wait until their wedding tomorrow at The Chase… or it’s later today actually! They have such an amazing group of family and friends. So much joy and laughter. Definitely my kind of crowd!

Betsy + Josh { Slide Show }

Betsy and Josh were married at Busch Stadium back in April. I’ve had their slide show for a while now but I wanted them to see it on DVD before I posted it online. Betsy and her mom Peg stopped by the studio over the weekend to pick up the DVD. She loved it. They had a little Fish Eye Fun while they were here too.

Amanda and Josh were married on Saturday at the Four Seasons hotel in downtown St. Louis. It’s a wonderful hotel for a wonderful couple.

Amanda has the most beautiful blue eyes (she gets them from her mother) I could shoot them all day long. I can’t wait to finish editing their photos!

Gwen and Jake got married this afternoon. I’ve known Gwen for a little over five years and I don’t think I’ve seen her happier. Jake is a lucky man!

Ashley’s Bridal Shower – Sneak Peek

As I said in an earlier post, Ashley hired me to shoot her bridal shower. She found me through her cousin Cydney (whom I’ve know since our Blueberry Hill days).

I’m pretty sure these to ladies had a lot to do with planning the shower.

As usual… I can’t resist the kids.

Sometimes my favorite shots are the ones I get when we are on our way to take photos…

Ashley’s Bridal Shower – Just One

This photo isn’t exactly from the bridal shower…

Ashley hired me to shoot her bridal shower at Pheasant Run in O’Fallon. It was a great afternoon filled with tons of smiles and laughter (my kind of people). After the shower was over we headed over to a restaurant where we met up with “the boys” including her fiancé Dan. Dan is a great guy and it’s clear Ashley can’t wait until their wedding in September. The tough part about Dan is, he does NOT like having his picture taken. When he finally agreed to step outside for a few minutes, I will admit I was a little nervous.

I know Ashley is excited to see her pictures from the shower and I planned on posting a “Just One” photo from it, but I think she’ll appreciate this one instead. Look for the rest of the sneak peek later this week.

Oh, when photographing a man who does not like having his picture taken… let him keep his beer!

Trash The Dress

Destroying your wedding dress is not for everyone… but for some, it’s a great way to use the dress again and get some stellar photos in the process. I had never shot a “Trash The Dress” session but I wanted to… so I did.

I asked myself what would look really good (or bad depending on how you look at it) on a wedding dress? The first thing that popped to mind was… motor oil.

The idea quickly grew into the story you’re about to see (either in the video slide show or just the image gallery itself). I enlisted the help of fellow photographer Abbie Rudolph of Abbie Takes Pictures and together we produced what ended up being quite a production. We worked together on the project but the images you’ll see on my websites are mine only. Abbie is a busy woman, she’s still working on hers.

It’s always flattering when someone hires me to be their wedding photographer… it’s even more flatter when another photographer hires me. When Alicia of A Hot Photo asked me to co-shoot her wedding with Brian Tucker. I of course said yes! Jess and Alica were married in June at Washington University. It was such a beautiful day filled with so much happiness and love… it really made my job easy.
